Summer Day Camp Volunteering

As-salamu alaykum dear community members! We, at the Muslim Youth of Greater Detroit (MYGD), are planning to host our annual Summer Day Camp and we need your help to make it a success. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community, gain valuable experience, and contribute positively to the lives of our youth.

Our Summer Day Camp, typically held in July or August, runs for 4 weeks with a schedule of 3 hours per day, 3 days per week (during the weekdays), from 11am-2pm. Although the camp start date is yet to be confirmed, we are starting the volunteer sign-up process now to ensure we have enough dedicated and committed individuals to help us run the camp smoothly.

Volunteers will be instrumental in guiding our attendees through various activities, managing camp operations, and creating a safe and enjoyable environment for our youth. Previous experience in volunteering or working with children is a plus, but not required. We welcome all those willing to devote their time and energy for this noble cause.
